Vulture Hound and Steelchair Wrestling Magazine is saddened to hear that former WWE Superstar, WWE Women’s Champion and Intercontinental Champion Joanie “Chyna” Laurer has died aged 45.

A statement released on her official Twitter account read “It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real-life superhero, Joanie Lauer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”

A pioneer and innovator in wrestling who broke conventions and a major star of WWF/E’s Attitude Era and the only female competitor to win the Intercontinental Championship. #RIPChyna
