“Witness the metamorphosis of ‘The Apex Predator’ in this complete collection highlighting his entire sports-entertainment career. From his first match in OVW, to his introduction to the WWE Universe in 2002, to his transformation into ‘The Legend Killer’, to becoming ‘The Viper’ of today, this set shows why Randy Orton is one of the greatest Superstars to ever slither into a WWE ring.”
The above paragraph is exactly what ‘RKO Outta Nowhere’ is all about. However, if you’re thinking of buying this release on the expectation that you’ll find out more about his issues with authority and his previous suspensions you’d be better off purchasing ‘Randy Orton:The Evolution of a Predator’. This release is a candid one to one interview with a more mature Orton, who discusses his time in OVW, being taken under the wing of Mark Henry, to his trials fighting his own self-confidence, his success after coming back from his first injury and a whole lot more.
What separates ‘RKO Outta Nowhere’ from previous releases is not just the mixture of rare and excellent matches included but it’s also the honesty of Orton in relation to his previous opponents and the backstage stories he tells.
Talking about Ladder Matches his been involved in, “When you think of ladder matches, I think of Edge and Christian and the Hardy Boyz, not Randy Orton.”
He goes on to talk about Triple H with regards to his feud, “Working with Triple H is great, if it wasn’t for Triple H I won’t be sitting here right now.”
When discussing Jeff Hardy, “He’s such an unorthodox guy in the ring, his style unlike anybody else’s and still true to this day…Jeff Hardy’s the one and only Jeff Hardy.”
Regarding Dolph Ziggler, “Me and Nick always have good matches, I think like top three performers in WWE I think he’s one of them. He has been for while.”
He goes on to compliment Christian when remembering their matches, “I probably had the most fun ever in the ring with Christian and it was because he could pick stuff out of thin air and make it something.”
Then Orton looks towards the current stars of WWE, “I tell you what, Cesaro…you look at him he’s put together you can tell he’s a strong cat. Some of the things he’s able to do strength wise, they shouldn’t be able to be done by someone of his size…He can do everything. He’s another one I love working with.”
And then turns his attention to Finn Bálor, “There’s a couple of guys I haven’t been able to work with that I’m looking forward to working with one day, one of those guys are Finn…He’s been all over the world, he’s been in the business for over a decade…he’s got the charisma to get it done…he knows what he’s doing…he’s got that IT factor.”
