Dario Cueto and Counciller Delgado (who I found out recently is played by Lorenzo Lamas aka Reno Raines off the amazing series Renegade) discuss the gauntlet that will possess Cage and make us men amongst Gods! Texano beat Joey Ryan by smashing him in the skull with a horse shoe given to him by Famous B and Brenda but he wants none of their “Get Fame” services!
Mundo addresses/insults the crowd and the Mack who blind side the champ but receives a beat down for his trouble before dropping Evans and Black with a pair of stunners! The mack turns attention to Mundo who hilariously calls for security while scrambling for safety. The security are no match for Mack who stunners each and everyone of them!
Cage enters the Temple wearing the gauntlet that unbeknownst to him will turn him onto a God! New comer Veneno (who we know is Detective Cortez in a new undercover disguise) is dismantled easy and brutally as the iron fist begins to take control!
Puma and Katrina have a confrontation backstage with Puma stating he will kill Mil Muretes!
Next up is the Death Match. Dragon Azteca Jr was pumped for this and threw it all at his much bigger and much more dangerous opponent. In a truly insane holy sh*t moment Matanza choke slammed Azteca Jr through the top-tier of the bleachers through to the concrete floor. It was a fantastic moment! Rey Mysterio runs out to check on his friend and Matanza beats up members of the crowd to get to him. The two brawl at the top of the bleachers before Matanza’s rage gets the best of him and he charges at Mysterio who uses his speed to duck out of the way sending Matanza over the baracade and crashing though the ceiling to the cheers of the rabid fans!
I love it. So much has happened and we’re only half way through the series! Rey Mysterio gets one over on Lucha Underground’s most dominant champion setting up a fantastic David versus Goliath match as the Prince Puma and Mil Muretes blood feud continues! Next week Mack & Mundo go all night long in what should be a fantastic match!
