While there are more than a few UK companies taking the time to honour the memory of the late “Shooting Star” Kris Travis, perhaps none will be able to do so in quite as quirky a manner as the court jesters of the scene, as ATTACK Pro Wrestling put on the Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational at the Cathays Youth and Community Centre in Cardiff on Saturday 4th March. Teams confirmed at the time of writing include The Models (Joey Hayes and “Delicious” Danny Hope), Mike Bird and Wild Boar and Project Lucha (“The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero and Kris Travis’s former partner Martin Kirby).

Not so far away on the same evening, Target Wrestling take over The Venue in Carlisle for a show that features established UK names such as the recent WWE UK Championship Tournament entrant Joseph Connors and veteran “The Wonderkid” Johnny Storm, as well as US indie sensation Candice Le Ray and former WWE and ROH Superstar Paul London.

Travelling yet further north on 4th and crossing the border into Scotland, PBW are at Dobbie Hall in Larbert. While not having any imports announced at the time of writing, there will be a strong card on the night based on established native talent, with “The East End Butcher” Sha Samuels taking on Grado and Kenny Williams going up against Dylan Angel. Also scheduled to appear are Nixon Newell, Kay Lee Ray, Jack Jester, Wolfgang and current PBW Heavyweight Champion BT Gunn.

Moving on to Sunday March 5th, RPW:UK continue their residency at the London Cockpit with a card that features “The Bastard” Dave Mastiff against Jeff Cobb, Bubblegum taking on David Starr and Joel Redman and Charlie Sterling putting their RPW:UK Tag Team Championship titles on the line against the team of Chris Brookes and Travis Banks. In addition, former MMA competitor and breakout US star Matt Riddle will be in action against an as of yet unnamed opponent.

NGW round out the forecast this week with Proving Ground 33, from the Beverley Memorial Hall on the 5th. Scheduled to appear on the card are Matt Myers, Liam Slater, Caz Crash, Little Miss Roxxy, Ace Matthews, Dave Graves and The Proven.
