There seems to be a common theme amongst Scottish companies this week, as we begin with Wrestlezone and their Regal Rumble 2017, which emanates from The Northern Hotel in Aberdeen on Saturday 18th. The eponymous Rumble match is scheduled to feature twenty competitors, the winner securing himself the right to challenge for the Wrestlezone Undisputed Championship at the company’s next major show. Thus far the most notable names announced of the twenty are Lou King Sharp, and icon of Scottish Wrestling, Grado.

Also taking place on the night of the 18th is the PWE Elite Rumble 2017, from the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr. Going one better than Wrestlezone, the Elite Rumble will feature a total of thirty entrants and offer a similar prize of becoming the number one contender for the PWE Heavyweight Championship at a future show. In addition, PWE have also announced a packed undercard, which features highlights such as former WWE and TNA Superstar Ken Anderson (formerly Mr Kennedy) taking on Sha Samuels, Rampage Brown and Ashton Smith against the NAK as well as “Iron Man” Joe Coffey, Wolfgang, Jack Jester and current PWE Heavyweight Champion Iestyn Rees.

ICW return home after their long and gruelling tour schedule to resume their regular slot at the Garage in Glasgow on the 19th, where they present their Fight Club show that will be taped for broadcast on their on-demand network.

The Rochester Casino Rooms hosts IPW:UK on the 19th for Supershow 7, where regulars such as David Starr and Cieran Donnelly are slated to be joined by Ken Anderson, Grado and former WWE and TNA Superstar Drew Galloway.

And finally, this week, PROGRESS make their long-awaited return to the Manchester O2 Ritz in 2017, as they present Chapter 45: Galvanize on the 19th. Thus far the matches announced include Jinny facing Nixon Newell in the first semi-final of the Natural Progression Series that looks to crown the very first PROGRESS Women’s Champion, and elsewhere on the card, the recently returned and much missed “Flash” Morgan Webster takes on “The Showstealer” Nathan Cruz.
