WWE Hall of Fame is about to get a lot more “Ravishing” as Rick Rude is set to take his place among WWE greats as the latest official inductee in the 2017 Hall of Fame class.

One of the top heels in the late 1980s, the hip-gyrating former Intercontinental Champion had a four-year career with WWE before moving to WCW in 1991 where he went on to defeat Sting for the United States Championship in less than a month after his debut.

After a short return to WWE in 1997 at DX’s “insurance policy”, Rude returned to WCW until early 1999, leaving before his untimely death in the same year.

Rick Rude – who will be inducted by Ricky Steamboat – was one of the most charismatic villains to step in the ring and his career was definitely Hall of Fame worthy.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony which will take place over WrestleMania 33 weekend in Orlando, Florida also see the likes of “Diamond” Dallas Page and Beth Phoenix joining The Ravishing One.
