The Riviera Hotel in Weymouth plays host to second generation wrestling royalty on 1st June, when UPW present CrossRHODES, being non too subtle about the fact that they have secured the services of former WWE superstar, current NJPW Bullet Club member and all round renaissance man of wrestling, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. In addition to Rhodes, former MMA fighter and breakout wrestling sensation Matt Riddle will be in action with UK stars Wild Boar, Mike Bird, Iestyn Rees and former TNA superstar Bram joining him.

One day later, ATTACK! Pro Wrestling continue a now five-year-old tradition of adding a massive dose of videogame-related craziness to their already whacky take on professional wrestling, with Press Start 5 at the Cathays Youth & Community Centre in Cardiff. No details of talent scheduled to appear or matches signed had been released at the time of writing, but as anyone who has been in attendance or seen footage from the previous four years of this event, memorable instances of inspired insanity are bound to transpire in the ring on the day.

IPW:UK make a last minute change to their formerly advertised Super 8 Tournament, which will now be replaces on the 3rd at the Snodland Community Centre, with Snodmania 2017, and the original event rescheduled for a later date in the year. “Liverpool’s No.1” Zack Gibson faces “Savvy” Sid Scala in singles action, “The All Day Smile” Ryan Smile tangles with WWE UK Tournament name Tucker and an international flavour is added to the event by the presence of Japanese star Kotaro Suzuki.

But if tournaments really are your thing, then there’s no need to despair, as BEW have you covered with their International Grand Prix 2017, which takes place over the 3rd and 4th June at the Tooting Tram & Social in London. This year’s tournament is all-female and boasts such names as Alex Windsor, Little Miss Roxxie, Laura Di Matteo, Alex Windsor and Sammii Jayne, as well as US star Santana Garrett, Australian grappler Toni Storm and former WWE and TNA star Katarina Leigh Waters.

And finally, Tidal Championship Wrestling round out the week on 4th with High Tide 2017 at Church Leeds, where Joseph Connors faces Bubblegum, “The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero takes on Martin Kirby, Lizzy Styles defends the Tidal Women’s Championship against Violet O’Hara, Charaka and Evee Black and the main event sees Team Havoc (Jimmy Havoc, Sean Only and Dara Diablo) take on Team Rampage (Rampage Brown, HT Drake and Jason Prime).
