WWE announced today they are officially cancelling the Manchester NXT live event set for June 6, out of respect for all the people affected by the recent terrorist attacks.
The NXT Superstars would however come to Manchester on June 6 to visit those affected by the tragedy. The company will also make a donation to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Every fan who purchased tickets to the Manchester show will receive a full refund and also be offered the option to receive a free ticket at point of purchase to the NXT show on Wednesday, June 7 in Leeds.
The NXT UK tour begins on Monday, June 5, in Aberdeen, Scotland, at the GE Oil & Gas Arena and continues Wednesday, June 7, at Leeds’ First Direct Arena, before debuting in Brighton at the Brighton Center on Thursday, June 8.
Then, NXT heads to Derby for a three-day stint, from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11, at Download Festival. Bobby Roode, Asuka, Kassius Ohno, Drew McIntyre and more will wrestle next to legendary rock bands like Aerosmith, System of a Down or Slayer. SmackDown Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura is also set to be apart of the tour.
In its statement, WWE is “looking forward to returning to the Manchester Arena on Monday, November 6 for Raw and Tuesday, November 7 for SmackDown Live” for the next European Tour.
