So this is the guide of the UK’s wrestling events for the week of June 5th all the way to June 11th, and we begin with WWE’s arrival in the UK:
The Superstars of NXT are making their way across the pond once again this June for a huge tour of the United Kingdom. The tour begins on Monday, June 5, in Aberdeen, Scotland, at the GE Oil & Gas Arena and continues Wednesday, June 7, at Leeds’ First Direct Arena, before debuting in Brighton at the Brighton Center on Thursday, June 8.
Then, NXT heads to Derby for a three-day stint at Download Festival June 9th – June 11th. Fans will get to see the Superstars of NXT alongside some of the biggest names in rock, including Aerosmith, System of a Down, Slayer, Rob Zombie. Superstars like Bobby Roode, Asuka, Kassius Ohno and more will take to the ring to showcase NXT’s high-octane brand of in-ring action. Festival-goers will also get the opportunity to meet the Superstars of NXT during autograph signings.
Pro Wrestling4U is bringing the action to Silverdale, Newcastle under Lyme, for its show ‘PW4U : Release The Kraken’! on June 9th. The night will also be filmed LIVE for shows DVD release and fans will see the PW4U Championship match will be contest under “Loser leaves PW4U” Rules as Champion Babyface Pitbull will face Sexy Kev. Also the PW4U Tag Team Champions, Barmy Army will face 2 Broke Blokes. While the PW4U G6 Championship will be decided as G6 Champion Juken battles Rob Sharpe, and the show will be host many other matches to please the PW4U fans.
While in East Kilbride at the same time, British Championship Wrestling returns and hopes to continue their two year plus sell out streak of events, but while no matches have been announced of the time of this report, judging by the poster, BCW Champion, BT Gunn, Joe Coffey, Davey Blaze, Grado and many more will appear.
On Saturday June 10th, Alpha Omega Wrestling UK continues their fantastic run of excellent storylines matched only by the wrestling at Morecambe Mayhem 2017.
For the first time ever – the women’s championship on the line in the MAIN EVENT as two year rivalry reaches a conclusion as AOWUK Womens Champion battles former Champion Viper バイパー. Also Stallion seizes his opportunity to take out all of his frustrations on AOWUK Champion King Grayson as they battle in a Street Fight with former King Grayson associate Bobby Roberts as the enforcer in the bout. The Mayhem continues as Sexy Kev & Mr Big Shaun Vasey faces HellBound (Andre Dekker, Alton Thorne, Barricade with Felony) and the event will include Danny Hope, Magnificent Matthew Brooks, Joey Hayes, Sam Gradwell and many more!
Continuing the action on June 10th, Live Wrestling in Sheffield at Queens Social Club from EBW Presents “Apocalypse Now?”. The event will feature the EBW Tag Team Championship Match: The Monsters (c) vs James Bacon and a partner of his choosing. Also Dirtbag” Dave Stewart & Gary Farmer battles King Dangerous & “Solid” John Green, and the action reaches fever pitch as EBW Catch Championship Match his held as Paul Malen battles Alan Kay.
Also on June 10th, Five Star Wrestling hosts their Tournament in Liverpool as they bring a host of stars like Carlito, Moose, Rob Van Dam and many more into the fold as they begin their 128 man tournament.
On Sunday June 11th, Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum returns their Five Pound Wrestling event, as many of the regular students who have made a name for themselves at the GPWA “Night of the Asylum” events will appear as well as lesser known talents who are now ready to perform in front of a paying crowd.
No doubt that knowing the GPWA, it will be a fun and entertaining event to witness, also it has been announced that Kay Lee Ray will be combating the ever outspoken Jamie Winters.
