FutureShock are first in this week, with Underground #22, from the Prestwich Suite on 30th, with singles competition featuring T-Bone taking on hometown boy Ashton Smith and Blackpool’s James Drake colliding with formidable veteran Rampage Brown. In what must surely be one of the true highlights of the card, reigning FutureShock Adrenaline Champion Soner Durson puts his title on the line against Bubblegum.
Also on the 30th, Kamikaze Pro celebrate the fourth anniversary of their founding at the Meadway Sports and Social Club in Birmingham, and though no matches had been officially announced at the time of writing, they are looking to make the night go off with a bang by bringing in US indie sensation David Starr, former IMPACT Knockout Jade and former TNA Superstar Bram to add to their roster of regular talent.
Making the 30th even more crowded for wrestling shows, HOPE arrive in Mansfield and take over the Forest Town Welfare for Evolution 48: There’s A Poetry About These Streets. Again, no matches or names have thus far been confirmed for the show, but as the advertising features the likes of “The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero, “All Day Smile” Ryan Smile and CCK (Chris Brookes and Mondai Lykos), one can only assume some barnstorming matches will take place on the actual night in question.
Southside carry us over into July, presenting two shows on the same day at the Sheffield Corporation on 2nd. Day of Reckoning 17 will take place in the afternoon and see Mikey Whiplash face El Ligero, “Flash” Morgan Webster clash with Kip Sabian, the first announce for the upcoming WWE Mae Young Memorial Tournament Toni Storm meets Kay Lee Ray and Damian Dunne takes on Jade in an intergender match. Morals Don’t Pay the Bills follows that same evening, and sees Chris Ridgeway face Ophidian, Toni Storm face Jade and the team of El Ligero, Bubblegum and Gabriel Kidd clash with GBH.
