We can already claim that this Pay-Per-View has earned the award of the most ridiculous name and logo of the century (for the record, Vince McMahon chose this name because it made him laugh… and because of that, this PPV may become a yearly one… ).

We already know that the winner of the Universal Title Match between Champion Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe will compete against Roman Reigns at Summerslam on August, 20. And the recent episodes of RAW left a taste of predictability coming to this PPV and its possible results. Let’s hope we’ll be surprised, at least a little…

But being the fine smart marks we are, we decided to play the guessing game again. Here are our predictions.

Ross’ predictions

I don’t want to knock WWE entirely as I am fully behind the Samoa Joe vs Brock lesnar angle, it’s a dream match of mine, but that being said – the absent champion will not lose unless it’s a “big four” show. For that reason, against my hopes, I’m gonna go for a Lesnar win.

Miz will beat Ambrose – again. Hardyz will lose to Ginger & Swiss leading to return of “Broken Hardys”. Alexa to win because she’s the best female heel they’ve had in years. The other matches are just filler.

Bradley‘s predictions

I would love to see Joe win that match but with this only being Lesnar’s first title defence it would be too good to be true. Lesnar to be standing proud at the end of the match. No doubt that all the focus will be on the main event between Lesnar and Joe. So much so that the only other match from the card I can remember is Roman Reigns v Braun Strowman to see who is the biggest of all big dogs by throwing the other into an ambulance. Reigns will win because it’s Roman Reigns.

Elliot‘s predictions

Barring the main event, I had no recollection of the entire card prior to writing this, possibly because it’s insanely underwhelming. Maybe they went with the name “Great Balls of Fire” because that was the only way this PPV could make any headlines. However, I could be wrong – Backlash ’16 seemed underwhelming and it delivered tenfold.

Anyway, I’m predicting no title changes, over half of the matches ending in a screwy finish of some sort and Lesnar Vs. Joe is going to be disappointing. Like cry on Reddit all night disappointing about how I wish Baron Corbin could cash in his Smackdown briefcase.

James‘ predictions

One match that I’m looking forward to is The Hardys vs Sheamus and Cesaro. Mostly because we know they can put on great matches together, but also we may see a pivotal moment in how the Broken universe could take place on WWE TV. The Hardys will probably lose, but it could lead to better things.

The biggest match of the night us surely going to be Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar. We’ve been promised a longer match (take everything from WWE with a grain of salt) and possibly have Joe come out the winner. Unfortunately, I feel like Lesnar is going to dominate and ultimately win. But maybe we’ll get a decent match out of them.

Steph‘s predictions

Don’t expect Samoa Joe to become the Universal Champion, but he’ll win the match via DQ. Neville defeats Tozawa in Pre-Show, despite Titus Worlwide. Big Cass destroys Enzo and shuts him off definitely. Nia Jax involved in Women’s match so Sasha wins but Alexa keeps the belt.

Balor may be involved in Tag Team Iron Man match, Hardys regain the belts and The Broken Club will be born. For the other matches I go for Rollins, Strowman and Ambrose, even if The Miztourage and Maryse will probably not be too far.
