GFW Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Alberto El Patron was detained by police at the airport in Orlando on Sunday afternoon. The police report states the incident happened at Orlando International Airport at 3PM and was a case of domestic violence battery.

According to TMZ, El Patron allegedly “roughed up a female companion”, without confirming the name of this woman. But Paige, El Patron’s future wife, posted on Twitter she was with El Patron and his family in Orlando this week-end.

Witnesses also reported to TMZ that Paige was with Alberto at the airport that Saturday. TMZ adds that El Patron and the woman were arguing in the terminal and cops were called once things escalated. One witness said, “There was an altercation.”

Recently, GFW had to stop during post-Slammiversary Impact recordings as he was ready to shoot on WWE live, something he’s already been doing on Instagram or Periscope. GFW had to turn his music up so loud that it stopped him.

This week-end, he posted on Instagram an invitation of his own to WWE bosses and wrestlers to come to his restaurant as WWE was in Texas this week-end and this Monday for RAW and Tuesday for SmackDown.

Because of that incident, El Patron missed an indie booking show in Texas on Sunday night. The incident is still under investigation and El Patron hasn’t been arrested.
