For the first time since 2014, GFW Impact Wrestling is back on tour. The Impact Superstars were supposed to invade New York for 3 live events. The Sports Arena in Saint James, Long Island, New York on August 4. The Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George, Staten Island, on August 5. And the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 6. But due to “unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges”, the Bridgeport event had to be cancelled.
For its return on the road, GFW will welcome guests of choice (and rumored future roster members). Current AAA Mega, Latin America and World Cruiserweight Champion and Lucha Underground Champion John Hennigan (Johnny Mundo), AAA and Lucha Underground luchador Drago will be apart of the events, as well as former 2-time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and Lucha Underground star Tara Valkyrie.
A big part of the roster will be present, excepted Alberto El Patron who’s still suspended by GFW (even if he’s no longer a suspect in Orlando Airport incident, while Paige still is). It seems like no GFW title will be on the line as the cards of the events are not quoting it (see below). Wrestle Pro and Create A Pro, New York based promotions and wrestling schools, will propose a showcase match at the beginning of each event.
