A series of announcements yesterday added to Destination X appearances (read our review here) has changed the shape of the GFW roster, with one departure, two arrivals and 3 returns.

“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero is leaving the GFW announce table as he announced on Instagram. Dinero worked for TNA as a wrestler from 2009 to 2013 and then returned to the company in 2015 as a colour commentator as “Da Pope”. He was recently stuck in the middle of the Jeremy Borash- Josh Mathews feud, without taking the one or the other’s position.

A new Knockout is set to arrive in GFW roster as the company has signed independent wrestler Kiera Hogan, 24. She revealed on Instagram she was about to be a part of the company she’s been a fan of since she was a teenager. Hogan received a WWE tryout 2 years ago.

Huge arrival for GFW, John Hennigan, well-known in Lucha Libre AAA and Lucha Underground as Johnny Mundo, and before as John Morrison in WWE, was officially announced to debut in GFW next week on Impact Wrestling during Destination X. Hennigan was apart of the recent GFW house shows that took place in New York.

And for those who didn’t watch Destination X, Jim Cornette, Taryn Terrell and Petey Williams came back to the six-sided ring yesterday. Cornette was the new face of TNA Management from 2006 to 2009. Even if he was released due to creative issues with Vince Russo, he maintained a good relationship with Jeff Jarrett.

Taryn Terrell, better known as Tiffany in WWE, was a part of TNA from 2012 to 2015. She was introduced as the official referee for the Knockouts division. She feuded with Gail Kim and Velvet Sky, among others. She became the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship in late 2014 by defeating Havok and Gail Kim in a three–way match.

Former 2-time X-Division Champion Petey Williams can be considered as a pillar of the company as he was a part of it from 2004 to 2009. The Canadian Destroyer offered sensational action into the six-sided ring. Williams came back to TNA in 2013 for a last ride before retiring. It’s not known yet if his Destination X appearance was a one-night-only one or a real comeback.
