In a quiet week for the UK scene, we begin the forecast in Mansfield on the 8th and at the Forest Town Welfare, where HOPE present Evolution 50: I Still Love Tom Petty Songs & Driving Old Men Crazy. Perhaps hoping (if you’ll forgive the pun) to be able to live up to the craziness of that show title, HOPE will be shipping in the South Pacific Power Couple for the evening, with TK Cooper squaring off in singles action against Mark Haskins, and Dahlia Black encountering Jayde. In other matches announced at the time of writing, Cara Noir faces “Flash” Morgan Webster and the South Coast Connection (Kelly Sixx & Ashely Dunn) take on The Aussie Open in a qualifying match for the HOPE Tag Team Title tournament. Also scheduled to appear are “The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero, “The Pride of Wales” Eddie Dennis and Hustle Malone.

The next day on 9th, the Northern Hotel in Aberdeen is home to Wrestlezone and The Battle of the Nations 2017, with The Stirling Brothers (Alan & William Sterling) defending the Wrestlezone Tag Team Championship against The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago) in a tornado rules match, Crusher Craib taking on Scotty Swift in a singles match and Mr P representing Scotland and meeting Andy Wild as England’s representative in the titular “Battle of the Nations”. Mark Coffey and “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne were also scheduled to appear, but the latter has WWE UK Championship commitments on the night, and so will be replaced, by the kind efforts of the WWE, by former WWE UK Champion, Tyler Bate.

UK cruiserweight legend Bubblegum will return to Sheffield on the 9th, as he joins the regulars of Elite British Wrestling and tries to reinsert himself into the title picture, a notion which will not sit well with the newly-crowned EBW Heavyweight Champion Dave Deville, nor the man he took the belt from, King Dangerous. EBW regulars “Mean Machine” Mark Sanders, Joey D, “The Demolition Man” Mikey Van Riot, The Monsters and many more will also be present at the Sheffield Works Department Sports & Social Club to make the night go with a bang and entertain fans both young and old alike.

And finally, we skip forward to the 10th, when Southside invade the Bedford Corn Exchange for Chop Gunn, where Alex Gracie meets WWE UK standout Joseph Connors, Kasey Owens takes on Lana Austin, Kip Sabian tangles with El Ligero, Robbie X trades high-flying moves with Gabriel Kidd, Rob Lynch battles Brady Philips and BT Gunn steps into the ring with former WWE Superstar Bob Holly.
