The New York Post and WWE announced today RAW will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the city the show was born, in New York City, but in 2 different places at the same time. On January 22, 2018, RAW will be live from both the Barclays Center, home of SummerSlam for 3 years and for 2018, and the Manhattan Center, the arena from where the first episode of “Monday Night Raw” was aired on January 11, 1993.

Fans will be able to watch matches at each venue featuring members of both RAW and SmackDown Live rosters for the first time on a non-pay-per-view since the brands split in May 2016. WWE Legends Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and the Undertaker, among others, will make special appearances at the Manhattan Center.

The event at Manhattan Center will feature WWE Superstars competing and special appearances of WWE Legends The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash, among others. This will be The Undertaker’s first TV appearance in WWE since WrestleMania last April.

WWE has rarely done live broadcasts from multiple locations at the same time, for example WrestleMania II was broadcasted from 3 separate cities in 1986. “We look forward to celebrating this unmatched milestone with our fans around the world, but 25 years only marks the beginning of WWE surprising, delighting and entertaining generations to come,” stated Vince McMahon.

This episode of RAW, as SmackDown Live’s one the next day from Washington, will be the last before one of WWE’s Big Four PPV, Royal Rumble, live from Philadephia on January 28. WWE RAW is the longest-running weekly episodic program in U.S. primetime television history with 1.275 episodes aired.
