I've been granted my release from @IMPACTWRESTLING
Thank you to everyone from top to bottom and to you the fans for your support ?— Thomas Raymond Latimer (@Thomas_Latimer_) November 7, 2017
He hasn’t appeared on the Impact Zone since last March and since has been very active in United Kingdom, with ICW or PWE, Italy and Germany. It’s not a surprise to learn from Bram today he was granted his release from IMPACT.
After making his debut on the UK scene in 2010, Thomas Latimer was signed by WWE in late 2010 and started with FCW, later rebranded as NXT. Different behaviour issues that led to him being arrested several times made WWE release him by the end of 2012. He resurfaced on the US indy scene before making his debut with TNA after a try-out on April 2014.
As Bram, he teamed up with fellow British wrestler Magnus and showed a violent side right in his first matches, using weapons on Willow. At Slammiversary XII, they lost a TNA World Tag Team Championship match against The Wolves and then continued to feud with Abyss and Willow. He declared later himself as “The King of Hardcore” and started to feud with former ECW originals like Tommy Dreamer.
Bram and Magnus continued their quest for the Tag Team Championship in 2015, unsuccessfully. Bram developed an even more violent personality, claiming his hate of everyone, attacking cameramen and officials and decided to “rewrite history” by challenging any wrestler of the company from the past. He defeated Crimson, Joseph Park, Matt Morgan before debuting a feud with Mr. Anderson. But on August 2015, Bram was suspended indefinitely due to a new arrest.
He came back on the Impact Zone when all charges were dropped. He started a team with Eric Young, attacking the Hardy brothers and then feuding with Beer Money, the BroMans and Decay. Their alliance ended when Bram hit Young and took the TNA King of The Mountain Championship from his former partner in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Sacrifice. He lost the title to Eli Drake, after an attack of Bobby Lashley, and then entered in a romantic storyline with Rosemary that led to his abduction by Abyss and Crazzy Steeve.
In October, he became a member of the Death Crew Council alongside James Storm and Kingston. They would attack many wrestlers, The Tribunal, The Broken Hardys, Robbie E and Grado, Decay. They got involved in many title matches, laying out contenders or winners. He merely appeared on TV in 2017, still as a member of Death Crew Council attacking EC3, Tyrus or Eli Drake.
Last April, Bram and Robbie E were off Impact tapings because IMPACT Wrestling sent talents to Japan NOAH’s Global Tag League as the “New BroMans”. But Bram was suspended by NOAH when a picture of him lying on his back on a ice shop of a store in Tokyo emerged on Instagram and received extremely negative backlash from Japanese fans. Robbie E was allowed to participate in the tournament when Bram was asked to come back to USA (Robbie E also parted was with IMPACT a few weeks ago).
Many wrestlers and referees have granted their release from IMPACT over the last few weeks. Cost cutting is quoted as the reason of these departures, mostly among the long-time roster and even if most of them requested their release. Some others are said to be expected in the next few weeks.
