John Cena stated with his busy schedule he couldn’t commit to working either the SmackDown Live or RAW circuit, so being a free agent was allowing him to work whenever he’s free, regardless of the brand who’s putting on a show that day. And it seems like John Cena is free on November 19 as he’s joining Team SmackDown at Survivor Series for the Traditional 5-on-5 Elimination Match.

As you’ve just read in SmackDown Live review, we now have a new WWE Champion. AJ Styles yesterday night defeated Jinder Mahal to become a 2-time WWE Champion, the first time ever a World Title is changing hands outside USA and the first time in almost 15 years a World Title is changing hands during a SmackDown Live episode (Brock Lesnar was the last who did it on September 16, 2003 by defeating Kurt Angle in a 60-minute Iron Man match).

But because of this title holder change, the match between AJ Styles and Rusev for the last spot was compromised and Rusev had to compete against Randy Orton to earn the spot yesterday, unsuccessfully. Team Captain Shane McMahon couldn’t be more happy of this announcement, as he stated on Twitter.

With the RAW Tag Team title changing hands on Monday and the WWE Championship yesterday, the card of Survivor Series has been revamped as you’ll see below. The SHIELD vs. The New Day could be announced next week as the former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions interfered in the RAW Tag Team Championship match and costed the belts to Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Roman Reigns could join them in the fight is he recovered from the mumps.
