A former TNA pioneer made his comeback on IMPACT Wrestling for the first day of tapings, yesterday night in Orlando. Austin Aries, former 6-time X-Division Champion and former World Champion, “the man who invented Option C, the man who always finds himself with options, the man who people have been wondering where he would show up next”, like IMPACT is stating on its website, made his comeback tonight in the IMPACT Zone.
And not only did Aries return but he came came face to face with Global Champion Eli Drake and was able to defeat him to become the new Global Champion. This will happen on IMPACT in the coming weeks but IMPACT decided to acknowledge not only the comeback and the title change right when it happened.
Earlier today, after some pictures emerged on social media, IMPACT also acknowledged the return of the 4-sided ring. The rest of what was recorded that night will remain on the spoiler zone until it’s officially aired. Stay tuned on the upcoming IMPACT reviews to find out about.
