Announcing the first-ever women's #RoyalRumble match was one of my all-time favorite moments in @WWE… And now I'm proud to share that I'll be joining the Announce team for this historic match this Sunday! #RumbleForAll #RoyalRumble pic.twitter.com/ehovcuGCXG

For nearly 20 years, Stephanie McMahon has probably taken every possible in-ring role with WWE. General Manager, Commissioner, valet, wrestler, and even Womens’ Champion. But there’s one role she has never played, that of announcer. And this Sunday, at Royal Rumble, this will be achieved as she’ll be joining the announce team for the historic, first-ever Womens’ Royal Rumble Match.
Alongside her responsibility of Chief Brand Officer of the company, Stephanie McMahon is the current Commissioner of RAW. The former WWF Women’s Champion is highly regarded as the woman who helped the business evolved for female wrestlers in WWE as she’s been the “voice” of every step of WWE’s Women Revolution.
She announced the arrival of NXT leaders Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in 2015. She was behind the rebranding of the Divas’ division to the Womens’ division and the creation of a new Championship belt, more akin to the mens’ one, at Wrestlemania 32. She also made sure the female athletes got to be called Superstars, just like the men.
She’s the one who announced the next step of the Women’s evolution in WWE on the December 18 edition of RAW. The first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match that is taking place this Sunday, with the winner receiving a match at WrestleMania 34 for either the RAW or SmackDown Live Women’s Championship.
