The news broke yesterday night that Alicia Fox would not be able to compete in the first-ever Royal Rumble Women’s match. Some thought this injury could have been a way to open a spot for another Superstar.

It was a devastating setback for the former Divas Champion, who’s been in the company for 10 years, who had an opportunity to make history at Royal Rumble as one of the veterans of the female roster.

WWE confirmed Fox, in fact, has suffered a broken tailbone, known as a coccygeal fracture. Fox was injured during the rehearsals for the Rumble match over the weekend. A broken tailbone is a painful and slow to heal injury, Fox is expected to be out from 8 to 12 weeks.

Fox was also set to team with Goldust in WWE Mixed Match Challenge, they were scheduled to face Jimmy Uso & Naomi next week in the first round. “The Bizarre One will now be able to choose his own partner to replace Fox,” as WWE quote. No name has been announced yet to replace Fox, but this woman should be eccentric or shiny if she wants to be Goldust’s perfect match.
