Insane Championship Wrestling announced today that it will induct McIntyre into its Hall of Fame on February 12. The Scottish Superstar will receive the honor in person, making a one-night-only appearance at ICW’s Fight Club event at the O2 ABC in Glasgow. McIntyre is only the second inductee as the ICW Hall of Fame was inaugurated last year with the induction of ‘The Pipebomb Princess’ Carmel Jacob.

McIntyre was a regular for ICW, both before his original debut in WWE as well as during his 3-year hiatus away from WWE. He was the organization’s inaugural ICW Heavyweight Champion, first winning the title in 2006, when the Scottish independent wrestling scene was in its infancy.

After his WWE departure, Galloway returned and was a regular top star for the company. McIntyre even recaptured the ICW Heavyweight Championship again in 2014, holding it for 378 days and defending it in many countries, including The United States and Australia.

Drew McIntyre continues rehabbing from the bicep injury he suffered last November at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. He is expected to be back for WrestleMania season. In response to the news, McIntyre described his upcoming induction as a “truly special” honor.
