WWE confirmed today what Tamina Snuka revealed first on her Twitter and Instagram accounts. SmackDown Live female wrestler underwent surgery in the middle of the week for a right shoulder supraspinatus tear, a part of the rotator cuff. She must be out of action from 6 to 8 months.

It seems like Tamina wrestled the first-ever All-Women Royal Rumble match injured. She was announced to be removed from the match at first, but entered against all odds at #7. She was eliminated by Lita less than 2 minutes after entering the match. Before Rumble, she last wrestled on January 2 on SmackDown Live when she teamed up with Natalya and Carmella against The Riott Squad.

Tamina came back last April as a member of the SmackDown Live roster as part of the “Superstar Shake Up”, after undergoing surgery in May 2016 to repair torn ligaments in one of her knees. Tamina Snuka, 40, is a veteran of the current WWE female main roster and is expected to come back in the WWE rings when she’s cleared.
