Ring of Honor is coming back to Sin City for two spectacular shows, a PPV on March 9 and TV tapings on March 10, to celebrate its 16th anniversary. This marks the fourth consecutive year that ROH has held its Anniversary show in Las Vegas and the third year in a row at Sam’s Town Live.
Jay Lethal stated in a video he stands the number one contender at the moment and has gone through a lot to get back to this spot. He asked Dalton Castle to look at the line of people he has beaten and ensured him he will become the Ring of Honor World Champion again. Lethal’s last run as ROH World Champion lasted 427 days.
After losing the ROH World Championship to Dalton Castle at Final Battle in December, Cody later cut a promo that was interrupted by Matt Taven. He lowblowed Cody and forced him to kiss his own Ring of Honor that Cody made to commemorate his title win and as a tribute to his father.
Flip Gordon pinned Hiromu Takahashi in a Three-way match with Kushida on the first Honor Rising show, then Takahashi got his win back the next night in a tag team match. They will compete again in a kind of rubber match.
Potential ROH World Championship contenders will square off as Marty Scurll will take on Punishment Martinez. Women of Honor tournament will also be featured in the PPV as one of the first matches will be the dark match of the night.
