His song “New Orleans” is going to set the tone for the party atmosphere of WrestleMania 34. Several of his tunes have been the official themes for WWE pay-per-view events and he also created some custom-made themes for several Superstars. For all these reasons, Kid Rock will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Celebrity Wing as a member of the Class of 2018, WWE announced today.

The American singer-songwriter, rapper, musician, record producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist and actor has been involved in the music business for more than 20 years. He has sold more than 26 million albums. His style is described as “a unique blend of rap, rock and country music” that “has helped him transcend genres and become one of the most popular recording artists going today”.

Kid Rock provides the soundtrack for Stacy Keibler’s ring entrance with his cover of ZZ Top’s “Legs.” The Undertaker used the 2000 single “American Bad Ass” as he thundered to the ring on his motorcycle. Several of his songs have been the official themes for WWE pay-per-view events. He also made live appearances for WWE, like in a May 2000 edition of Monday Night Raw, at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. He also held a show for America’s armed forces during the 2012 edition of Tribute to the Troops.

Growing up a WWE fan, Kid Rock told Billboard his induction a “real honor.” “Every time I go to a WWE event I always have a good time; there is nothing like it and no better fans in the world. The Hall of Fame ceremony will be a fun night and it will be great to see everyone again. I have so much respect for what those guys and girls do. I’m grateful to WWE for letting me be a part of WrestleMania weekend.”

On Friday, April 6, in New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 Week, Kid Rock will sing this special song of recognition in New Orleans when he becomes a Hall of Famer, alongside Goldberg, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim and The Dudley Boyz, during the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
