Just after Fastlane went off air, WWE confirmed Xavier Woods has suffered an injury to his thoracic spine due to The Bludgeon Brothers’ brutal attack during the SmackDown Live Tag Team Title Match. As you read in our Fastlane review, the match between the Usos and The New Day ended in a no-contest when The Bludgeon Brothers came to beat down all the participants.

Xavier Woods was thrown onto the steel steps when Harper & Rowan leveled him with a Double Powerbomb. WWE’s medical crew quickly swarmed ringside and loaded him onto a stretcher when Harper and Rowan left the ringside.

As of now, WWE doctors did a preliminary diagnosis of multiple thoracic contusions. Woods was on the process of being evaluated with X-rays and possibly an MRI for any further damage, such as ruptured discs or fractures of the thoracic spine. Stay tuned for more details when an update is released.
