Tyrus announced on Instagram he was leaving Impact Wrestling. He came back last January during the last tapings session to help his old friend EC3. He left Impact before in August 2017, quoting on Twitter he was feeling “handcuffed and treated like a second-class citizen creatively”.
His message on Instagram is more or less going the same way. “2014-2018 – I have been a part Impact Wrestling worked with a lot good people and for the most part enjoyed my time. Having said that… as I’ve grown … they well…. ummm. Change is good and there definitely have been a lot of changes and today after much contemplation it time for me to move on from Impact. Creatively we just don’t see eye to eye on anything and I beat EC3, so I’m good… I wish them well in their future endeavors… #nuffsaid”
After his release by WWE on 2014, Tyrus made his debut with Impact, aligning himself with EC3. He became the #1 contender for TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Bound For Glory 2015 in a Gauntlet for Gold match. He then turned on EC3 and joined Matt Hardy, costing Carter the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He would later become a “fixer” for hire and align with Eli Drake. He left the company in August 2017 to come back last January and finally have his revenge on EC3, his better enemy.
