Nine days after The Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia and a few days before the European Tour, Backlash is the first PPV to air after WrestleMania 34 and also the first post-Shake up one. WWE is coming back to a dual-branded system for its PPVs and Backlash is mixing matches from both RAW and SmackDown Live.

Since WWE started to book the PPV card before The Greatest Royal Rumble, the show is mixing the aftermaths of WrestleMania 34 with the recent feuds and storylines developed since the Superstars Shake Up. Five of the 9 WWE titles will be on the line.

When and where?

Backlash takes place on Monday, May 7, at 1AM BST, from Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey. A one-hour kickoff pre-show will start at midnight on WWE Network and YouTube official WWE Channel. The main show is set to last 3 hours.

Backlash will be aired on WWE Network. In UK, it will be available on PPV on Sky Sports Box Office. In France, it will be aired live on Cable TV channel AB1.
