The 25th edition of Best of the Super Juniors Tournament will take place between May 18 and June 4, 2018. The participants were revealed today. In addition to NJPW regulars, the tournament will features CMLL wrestler Dragon LeeROH wrestlers Marty ScurllFlip Gordon and Chris Sabin, and independent wrestler ACH.

The tournament is a round-robin style tournament where a wrestler scores points. The winner, assuming they are not already the champion, receives an opportunity to wrestle for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship not long after the tournament is over, usually at DominionThe winner of 2016 edition and current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Will Ospreay, and of 2015 and 2017 editions, Kushida, will be in different blocks, which could lead to a rematch of last year’s final.

Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall will take place on June 9, 2018. Rey Mysterio has been confirmed for the event and 4 matches announced. After a first attempt at New Year Dash!! 2018, Chris Jericho attacked Tetsuya Naito at Wrestling Dontaku and was granted a Championship match.

Kazuchika Okada challenged Omega once again to a match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, after he defeated Tanahashi at Wrestling Dontaku. Omega accepted, on the terms that there would be no time limit with a two out of three falls stipulation, which Okada agreed to.
