By the end of last year, when The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes announced they wanted to self-finance a “All In” 10,000 seats wrestling show, very few people thought they would fail. It all started from wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer writing on a tweet that he didn’t think Ring of Honor, Cody and The Young Bucks could draw 10,000 seats. All three welcomed the challenge. And with ROH’s blessing, “All In” would happen, whether they succeed or fail. At that time, they had no place, no wrestlers, but they were decided to make it happen.

Who?

When the first names were revealed on Twitter, people started to understand All In would something very special. Cody and The Young Bucks have reunited Arrow actor Stephen Amell, The Villain Marty Scurll, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Tessa Blanchard, Rey Fénix, Penta El Zero M, Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green, Penelope Ford and Joey Janela, Britt Baker, Jay Lethal, “Son of Havoc” Matt Cross and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Rainmaker Okada for the event.

A massive wrestling convention was announced around the show. Starrcast will take place from Thursday, August 30th at 6PM EST to Sunday, September 2nd at 3PM EST. Sean Waltman, Konnan, Road Warrior Animal, Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, Tony Schiavone, Sean Mooney, Colt Cabana and Jerry “The King” Lawler will all host a podcast from Starrcast.

WWE Hall of Famers Diamond Dallas Page, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Tully Blanchard and Ron Simmons are set to appear, as well as CM Punk on August 31 for a meet & greet on Pro Wrestling Tees shop in Chicago. The whole list of Superstars involved is available here.

Where and when ?

Last March, it was revealed All In would take place in the Sears Centre in Chicago at the announced date of September 1st.

The press conference

It was confirmed tonight the show was completely self-financed and without corporate sponsors. Cody revealed All In was more of a feeling than a bet and hoped to give fans elite wrestling with this event and break the mold.

NWA President Billy Corgan made an appearance to confirm Chicago is the greatest place for wrestling in the world. Cody Rhodes will challenge the NWA Champion that night.

Tessa Blanchard talked about how this show will comfort the Women’s Revolution in wrestling as the best female wrestlers in the world would be involved. And at All In, they will push the limits even further.

Adam Page and Marty Scurll, Cody’s acolytes in the Bullet Club, said he wouldn’t miss this opportunity for anything in the world. Flip Gordon, who absolutely wants be in it, appeared and superkicked Marty Scurll before Page threw him through a table.

The Young Bucks confirmed Flip Gordon was still not booked for the show and All In was going to be something “monumental”. They will be in the main event of the show. They said the prices are made to be affordable to allow everyone to come and reach the 10.000 people goal. They made a special announcement, Rey Mysterio will also be All In !

You can order your tickets at 9PM BST tonight here. The price range starts at $28 and reached $153 to sit in the very front row.
