During a media event in New York City this morning, Nia Jax named Ronda Rousey as her next challenger for the RAW Women’s Championship. The Irresistible Force announced she wants to put her title on the line against Rousey at WWE Money in the Bank on June 17. Ronda Rousey was pretty surprised but agreed to the match.

This match will be Rousey’s first title opportunity since joining WWE earlier this year. Both women made comments on the match on Twitter. Jax stated if she wanted to the best, she had to square off with the best. Rousey again expressed her surprise of seeing this challenge coming earlier than expected, but stated she was born ready.

WWE announced the matches of the opening round of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament will take place at Download Festival, during NXT live events from June 8 to 10. The 16 competitors involved will be revealed this Wednesday and Friday.

The following rounds of the tournament will continue on June 18, during WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament event in Royal Albert Hall in London. The winner of the tournament will receive a title match against current WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne the following night in the same Royal Albert Hall.
