After Sunday’s single cam show, we were back to the normal presentation for today’s show.  We have a pretty strong card with all the potential to be the standout day of this tournament

Results:

Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori & Chase Owens) Def. Flip Gordon & Tomoyuki Oka

Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) Def. ACH & Shota Umino

CHAOS (YOH & YOSHI-HASHI) Def. CHAOS (Will Ospreay & Gedo)

Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI) Def. Tiger Mask IV & Toa Henare

Post Match: Chris Jericho cuts an awesome promo promising to F**k him up and that he would make Naito famous as the guy who got his ass beaten by Jericho and promised to win the IC title to take it away from the “Filthy animals” in Japan.  Naito’s response? he was napping and then SCOLDS HIM FOR TAKING THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE JUNIORS.  THIS FEUD IS AMAZING!

Chris Sabin def. Sho

– Another strong outing form Sho

– Sabin mostly playing the veteran and the spoiler not allowing Sho to gain momentum

– Nice story of Sho hanging with Sabin

– We get a nice finishing stretch of false finishes

Sho picks up the win with Shock Arrow

Winner: Sho Rating: 5 out of 10

Dragon Lee vs Ryusuke Taguchi

-some pre-match comedy about body shaming?

– Lee is the more athletic with Taguchi taking the technical approach

– Some goofy stuff from Taguchi as usual

– Taguchi fired up and hit some signature offense

– Cool finish with Lee reversing a hip attack into a German leading to the Desnucadora.

Winner: Dragon Lee Rating: 5 out of 10

Marty Scurll vs KUSHIDA

– I love singles match serious “Villain” marty so much

– The camera effect really adds to his entrance

– Scurll plays spoiler to start something which would continue for most of the match

– Great technical wrestling straight out of PROGRESS

– Scurll has a counter of everything KUSHIDA throws at him

– KUSHIDA just goes on like a mad man

– Both men  hit their signature offence

– Back to the future for the win

– good match between two exceptional wrestlers with Scurll playing it seriously and KUSHIDA being, well, KUSHIDA

Winner: KUSHIDA Rating: 7 out of 10

Hiromu Takahashi vs El Desperado

– THE TICKING TIME BOMB IS BACK HIROMU TAKES IT TO DESPY FROM THE START

– HE RUNS THE LENGTH OF THE CROWD AND MISSILE DROPKICKS DESPY…..he’s dead, isn’t he?

– Thankfully? Desperado is not dead!

– Crowd brawling galore as these two are beating the hell out of each other

– There are meant to be 2 mandatory 19 count spots but Takahashi doesn’t give a F**K and gets back in at 17 and 18 respectively.  Never change Hiromu.

–  Even in the ring, these two are finding new ways to kill each other.  HOLY CRAP what a match

– Time for jelly leg trading

– This crowd is so into Hiromu they would be ridiculous to not have him win

– Aaaaaaannnnddd the ref bump.  It is a Suzuki Gun match after all

– LOW BLOW AND A COVER FOR 2.  HIROMU LIVES

-Not for long……

-These two really beat each other up and clearly have chemistry I would love to see a rematch for the title one day

– Torn between this and ACH/Ospreay for match of the tournament

-Despy cuts a promo where he teased unmasking but said the fans didn’t deserve it.

Winner: El Desperado Rating: 8 out of 10

Great night of action with some must-see undercard stuff including a promo by Chris Jericho
