The first-round matches took place this weekend at Download Festival NXT Live Events, as announced. In Friday’s matches, Flash Morgan Webster defeated James Drake, Ashton Smith defeated Joseph Conners, Zack Gibson defeated Amir Jordan and Travis Banks defeated Ligero.
In Saturday’s matches, Jordan Devlin defeated Tyson T-Bone, Dave Mastiff defeated Kenny Williams and Joe Coffey defeated Tucker. Jack Gallagher vs. Drew Gulak was recorded and will air on an upcoming NXT weekly show. Below is the updated bracket.
