It’s been a surprisingly rough ride for Bobby Roode since he arrived on the main roster. Following his excellent rundown In NXT as the champion and a slot as one of the biggest heels on the black and yellow brand many expected to see Roode flourish upon his arrival on Smackdown LIVE/Monday night RAW and why wouldn’t they? Roode has an amazing track record not only in the WWE but outside it. A popular name amongst the wrestling world and a standout all-aroundperformer many were confident the glorious one would receive a strong and promising push, but his run so far has been far from glorious, to say the least.

Of course, Roode has been apart of solid matches here and there and during his time over on Smackdown LIVE we did see glimpses of a possible heel turn and a stronger push on its way but since arriving on Monday night RAW we haven’t really seen all too much from the former NXT champion and so this Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay per view is an important one and there is a strong argument that suggests Bobby Roode is most in need of the victory and to be crowned Mr. Money n the Bank twenty eighteen.

Now, while he may not be heading into this match with all the momentum on his side Rood is still a talent with great potential. A heel turn is the clear direction the WWE must take soon but holding the Money in the Bank briefcase will allow Roode to go from strength to strength. His glorious character proved to be a huge success down in NXT and there is no reason why it can’t work on the bigger stage we just need to see his character receive a little boost. Winning the Money in the bank contract gives Roode the opportunity to show the WWE universe the Roode we got a couple of years back over in NXT. Cocky, arrogant, and owning the belief he is the best thing the company has to offer. The briefcase almost makes that official; it gives him a reason to brag, a reason to get under the skin of other superstars and the chance to turn him heel and develop his character even more.

This, of course, is a big victory and for any superstar who scores the win it adds to their credibility and legacy and it’s evident Roode is a current talent in need of a boost. Such an important win puts him as one of the stars to watch, it makes him unpredictable, dangerous and opens the doors for plenty of new and more important storylines. Collisions with bigger stars including Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and even possibly Brock Lesnar down the line become more possible but also pushes him out of the mid-card section of the roster he has managed to find himself in.

The fact of the matter is, Bobby Roode is a main-event talent that just hasn’t been able to fit into the main event slot since arriving on the main roster and instead is floating somewhere in the middle. His NXT run was promising and led many to believe he was destined for great things up on the bigger stages including major championship reigns, but it hasn’t quite worked out like that just yet. Capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase will remind the WWE Universe of the type of star Roode is. This is man who can collide with the legends like Triple H and John Cena and feel just as important but also work fantastic bouts against talent including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and other young up and comers putting them over as well as brilliant story work with superstars who represent something completely different to the Glorious one such as Finn Balor. Winning the Money in the Bank ladder match will give him the chance to do all of this at a greater and stronger level. The match itself will give Roode the opportunity to kick start a brand-new feud/rivalry with any one of his fellow opponents and the fallout to his victory on Monday night will make for a must see!
