“WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).” Here is the laconic sentence we all know which means a wrestler has been released or fired. Just 2 days after losing his match against Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank, Big Cass is done with WWE. Or we may say WWE is done with Big Cass, as you may have noticed they don’t “wish (him) the best for his future endeavours”.

Big Cass was signed by WWE in 2011 and was teamed with Enzo Amore. The two quickly became fans favourites. Enzo and Cass were moved to the WWE main roster on SmackDown Live after Wrestlemania 32. It was said at that time Vince McMahon himself was predicting a bright future for his new “giant”. In 2016, Cass was placed into a multi-man match to determine the top challenger for the WWE Universal Championship.

When Enzo Amore came back from injury, the team was split and the two started to feud. But it came short when Cass suffered a tear of an ACL in August 2017. Cass returned to WWE in April 2018, started to feud with Daniel Bryan. He’s said to have recently received backstage heat as he went out of script on an episode of SmackDown Live, despite Vince McMahon himself refusing to give him permission.
