After weeks of rumours and negotiations, WWE finally confirmed yesterday she secured multi-year media rights deals with USA Network and Fox Sports for its two flagship shows, RAW and SmackDown Live.
When it comes to the Red Brand, WWE is extending its partnership with USA Network. The five-year extension, which is commencing on October 2019, is the continuation of a nearly three-decade-long relationship.
But for the Blue Brand, things are changing. On October 4, 2019, SmackDown Live is moving to FOX Sports. as part of a five-year agreement. The show will air on Friday nights, as it was before, and is set to remain a 2-hour show. What is unknown at the moment is if SmackDown will remain a live show or be recorded.
Monday Night Raw and SmackDown are the first and second longest-running weekly episodic television show in U.S. primetime history and are meant to keep being as the new TV deals are guaranteeing the shows would last 5 more years.
