WWE broke the news earlier today that Harlem Heat will be the next Superstars to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Harlem Heat will join Torrie Wilson, The Honky Tonk Man, and D-Generation X in the 2019 Hall of Fame Induction on WrestleMania Eve.

Real-life brothers Booker T and Stevie Ray in the 1990s were 10-time WCW Tag Team Champions. Harlem Heat know for their dominance and in-ring chemistry will be honored in the WWE Hall of Fame for their outstanding achievements as a tag team.

From 110th Street in Harlem, New York, Harlem Heat arrived at World Championship Wrestling with their vigorous attitudes and goals of dominating the tag team division.

In 1994 they would be managed by another Hall of Famer Sensational Sherri. Since Sensational Sherri began to manage them, the team would reach all new heights. This would lead to their longest tag team reign. They defended the titles against Stars & Stripes.

In 1996, the power house tag team would be defeated by Public Enemy but would regain the titles again for the 7th time in their careers on October 1, 1996. Harlem Heat would lose their titles to The Outsiders on October 27, 1996. They later feuded again with Public Enemy, Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, in 1997. Booker T. and Stevie would continue on as a tag team, also feuding with The Steiner Brothers, Sting & Lex Luger, and others in the division.

Later in 1997, the two members of the finest tag teams in the history of professional wrestling would go their separate ways. Stevie would join nWo and Booker T would become one of the most honorable singles star on WCW. Booker T. would be one of the most reigning defending champions of the WCW Television Title.

Harlem Heat would reunite after a couple of years being apart for. The tag team would return just as powerful as before. Their crisp movement would come as second nature to them as if it was a natural occurrence. The team did not miss a step. They would go on to claim their 8th tag team title at Road Wild 1999.

Harlem Heats tag team record was never broken in WCW, until the company was purchased by WWE in 2001.

Harlem Heat never competed as a tag team in WWE. They are the true definition of great tag team accomplishment in professional wrestling.

Harlem Heat will find their place into the WWE Hall of Fame, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. On that very special night, Booker T, like Shawn Michaels, will join Ric Flair in the very special group of 2-time WWE Hall of Fame, recognized both as wrestlers and as team/stable members.
