Robbie X vs PAC vs Jody Fleisch was a match that had main event written all over it and, after a fantastic WrestleGate show in Nottingham on 18th May 2019, it was destined to the perfect main event to a fantastic show. Sadly, the fans at Rushcliffe Arena didn’t get to see that happen!
With Robbie X sustaining an injury earlier in the show after a stellar showing in his match against Chris Ridgeway and the news that Jody Fleisch had experienced travel issues, despite his best efforts to attend, it looked like PAC was going to have an easy night without an opponent.
WARNING: The video and tweet contain strong language
One man had a very different opinion of how the night should end, and that man was Hangman Adam Page!
Sending the Lions Spirit audience wild from the very second he appeared, Page and PAC leathered each other for a good fifteen minutes before PAC’s frustration bubbled over and he took out the referee, leading to Hangman pinning PAC for a ref-less three count. Neither man stopped there, though.
Post-match, things got even tenser as PAC announced he had no intention of going to Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, nor would he be going to AEW, effectively quitting the company before it’s even really got started!
The presenters of UK wrestling podcast WrestleThoughts were in attendance and caught the action as it happened.
Wait! PAC says he isn't going to #DoubleOrNothing and he isn't going to @AEWrestling !!!!!@theAdamPage @BASTARDPAC @MattJackson13 @NickJacksonYB @CodyRhodes @TheBrandiRhodes @IAmJericho @WONF4W @ryansatin @WrestleGatePro #LionsSpirit pic.twitter.com/mQGmugZjPU

After the match, and before he agreed to meet every one of the fans at Lions Spirit, Page suggested that he could bring all of AEW to the UK and it’s certainly something that British wrestling fans would be looking forward to, wherever it happens.
