NJPW1972.com has confirmed that a previously reported injury to TAKA Michinoku will cause him to miss out on the rest of the tournament.

TAKA suffered an injury to his right foot during the tournament and has had to forfeit his remaining tournament matches.

When in doubt use the ring post TAKA

He first missed a match on Night 10 against Dragon Lee and will miss two further matches against Marty Scurll and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Because of this both men have automatically received two points to their totals meaning Kanemaru is now on six points and Scurll is now on ten points.

His forfeit also means that three undercard tag matches have been changed for the May 30th and June 3rd BOSJ shows. TAKA was currently winless in the tournament and rested at the bottom of Block A on zero points.

We here at Steel Chair wish him a speedy recovery.
