As announced a few days earlier, All Elite Wrestling finally confirmed Christopher Daniels would face CIMA at Fyter Fest. The company also announced Laredo Kid has been confirmed as the mystery partner for Rey Fénix and Pentagon Jr. in the 6-Man match against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, aka The Elite, replacing PAC.

Despite signing with the company at a very early stage of its creation, PAC suddenly announced last month he had no intention of going to Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, nor would he be going to AEW, effectively quitting the company before it’d even really got started.

If visa issues have been stated as a reason for him to appear at both Double or Nothing and Fyter Fest, the fact he signed with Dragon Gate shortly before signing with AEW could make PAC have some creative differences with AEW, due to the fact PAC is the current Open the Dream Gate Champion for Dragon Gate. Neither PAC nor AEW confirmed those rumours. AEW even released the video where PAC is announcing he’s quitting the company on it’s YouTube channel.

Laredo Kid is a huge star in Mexico, who has worked with Lucha Libre AAA, one of AEW’s partners, Impact Wrestling, MLW, and many independent promotions in Mexico and USA. He’s the current AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and World Trios Champions with El Hijo del Vikingo and Myzteziz Jr. He already competed against the Lucha Brothers and also teamed up with Rey Fénix on multiple occasions over the years.

Here is Fyter Fest Card, as of today:

  • “Buy In” Hardcore Match: CEO Gaming’s Jebailey vs Michael Nakazawa
  • The Elite (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) vs. Rey Fenix, Pentagon Jr. and Laredo Kid
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin
  • Jon Moxley’s AEW in-ring debut vs. Joey Janela
  • “Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF vs Jungle Boy vs. Jimmy Havoc
  • Nyla Rose vs. Riho vs. Yuka Sakazaki
  • Christopher Daniels vs. Cima
