Current British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr has put an extra prize on the line in his title match against YOSHI-HASHI in Sendai. Thanks to NJPW1972.com we now know their match, taking place on the Kizuna Road final show on June 25, will now be for the British title and ZSJ’s G1 Climax spot. The two have been at each other’s throats since the title match was revealed.

After YOSHI HASHI beat ZSJ in an elimination match on June 17, he dared Zack to put the tournament spot on the line. After a repeated demand on June 19, ZSJ accepted and has now put his title and the spot on the line. When asked why, he said he was confident it wouldn’t happen since he hadn’t lost to YOSHI-HASHI in a singles match in three years.
This will be the first time a G1 Climax spot has been contested in a match and if YOSHI-HASHI he will not only be getting a place in the tournament but also entering with a title belt too. He will take ZSJ’s place in A Block amongst names like Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and KENTA.
The Kizuna Road final will air on NJPW World on the 25th of June from the Sendai Sunplaza Hall.
