Fight For the Fallen is coming just 2 weeks after Fyter Fest, which is very quick but will also create a lot of expectations until next PPV, All Out, on August 31. Fight For the Fallen has been an issue of choice here over the last few weeks, as news has never stopped flowing and the card has taken an interesting twist day after day. As we’re just hours away from it, it’s time to refresh everyone’s mind and tell even more things you really need to know about this event. After the success of Double Or Nothing and Fyter Fest, battle lines have been drawn in the sand with a stacked line-up at Fight For the Fallen.
What?
Fight for The Fallen comes a follow-up of Fyter Fest and Double or Nothing in many ways. The Dustin and Cody vs The Young Bucks encounter was announced at Double or Nothing. Even if a 6-Man match is set, MJF is decided to avenge his friend Cody in making Shawn Spears pay for this huge chair shot at Fyter Fest, even if they will in the same team.
Brandi Rhodes and Bea Priestley will make their debut with AEW, the first against Allie, the second teaming up with Shoko Nakajima against Dr. Britt Baker and Riho. The road to All Out and the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament continues as Dark Order, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, and Jack Evans and Angélico will try to join Best Friends and advance to All Out for an opportunity at a first round bye. Chris Jericho is set to appear and, as he announced, he has a lot of things to say, and a thank-you to have.
Who?
Fight For The Fallen will kick things off with the “Buy In” preshow. After his debut in the Casino Battle Royale at Double Or Nothing, Sonny Kiss will look to pick up his first win for All Elite Wrestling in singles action against Peter Avalon, accompanied by his fellow ‘librarian’, Leva Bates. While Bea Priestley will make her debut with the company, teaming up with Shoko Nakajima, Dr. Britt Baker will team up with Riho to ensure “ladies need their teeth kicked in soon.”
MJF, Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara will face off Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin & Joey Janela. The hardcore trio of Allin, Havoc and Janela should seemingly be able to work well together, probably more than MJF and Shawn Spears. Kenny Omega will square off with CIMA in what we can call a battle of Giants.
After a vicious attack on the Best Friends at Double Or Nothing and an ominous appearance two weeks ago at Fyter Fest, Dark Order will make their in-ring debut and take on the teams of Angelico & Jack Evans and Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus in a three-way tag team match for an opportunity at a first-round bye in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
At Fyter Fest, Kip Sabian joined commentary for the 4-Way Match involving Adam Page, Jimmy Havoc, MJF, and Jungle Boy. It was announced before the bout he would meet the winner of the match in the future, which was Page. What will Chris Jericho say? No one knows yet, even if it seems like his words won’t be kind or appreciative.
AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes will wrestle her first match for the company at Fight for the Fallen against Allie. Rhodes took to Twitter and said she’s ready. “I’ve shifted my focus from cutting Allie down, to building myself up. I’m beaten and bruised from training. I’m exhausted from running miles and miles in the dog day heat and my head hurts from studying her past matches. All worth it. Ready for Saturday,” Rhodes wrote on Twitter. Brandi will also have to fight her own fears, what she talked about in the video below.

Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian of SCU will take on The Lucha Bros, Pentagon Jr and Fénix. SCU will not be missing their third member Christopher Daniels as he will be present at ringside. SCU cut a promo between themselves announcing the match and explaining that they need to be included in the argument for the best tag team in a promotion that they claim is giving you the best tag team wrestling.
Brothers vs Brothers, here is how you can define the match between Cody and Dustin Rhodes and The Youngs Bucks. Billed as a “dream tag team match”, many want to see this one before Dustin’s in-ring career comes to an end. If on Twitter, The Bucks asked for friendly competition, Dustin replied to them not to count on him and his brother to be good.
