“IMPACT Wrestling is proud to announce that Tenille Dashwood has signed to be our newest Knockout and addition to the roster. Tenille will make her IMPACT debut in Mexico City, Mexico on August 15th and August 16th.”
To say it’s a surprise would be beyond reality. Tenille Dashwood, formerly known as Emma in WWE, is joining Taya Valkyrie, Tessa Blanchard, Alisha Edwards, Su Yung, Jessicka Havok, Madison Rayne, Rosemary, Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan in one of the most talented female wrestlers’ rosters in all of pro-wrestling by officially becoming an Impact Wrestling Knockout.
Dashwood signed with WWE in 2011 and was assigned to FCW then NXT. The talented Australian is a great wrestler with some good microphone skills, she also has an exquisite talent to be as loveable as hateful as a character. After being released by WWE in October 2017, she signed with Ring of Honor.
As part of the Women of Honor’s division, she failed at becoming the Champion but became a member of the Lifeblood stable alongside Juice Robinson, Bandido, and Tracy Williams. She underwent shoulder surgery last fall and was out of action until she returned earlier this year. Although Dashwood and ROH were in talks on a new contract, the two sides were unable to make a deal.
Dashwood recently returned to in-ring action following a shoulder injury that she suffered in September 2018, working indie dates for promotions such as Black Label Pro, Cactus League Wrestling, and Destiny Wrestling. She officially became a free agent this past April.
Tenille Dashwood now has the fresh start she needs in a company that has been a great launching pad for women in wrestling. Her eyes will be surely set on the IMPACT Knockouts Championship and her road to that should be something great to watch and review.
