All Elite Wrestling announced that the first-ever AEW World Title defence will take place during the third AEW on TNT episode, which airs live on Wednesday, October 16 from Philadelphia. This news may sound strange as the AEW World Champion is not crowned yet and will be on Saturday, August 31 when Chris Jericho faces “Hangman” Adam Page in the main event of the AEW All Out pay-per-view. There’s no word yet on who will challenge Page or Jericho in Philadelphia.

The first AEW on TNT episode will air live from 8-10pm ET on Wednesday, October 2 (1 AM to 3 AM BST) from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. All Elite Wrestling announced last week the second and third AEW on TNT episodes will air live from Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA. The Wednesday, October 9 episode will air live from the Agganis Arena in Boston. The October 16 episode will air live from the Liacouras Center at Temple University. Tickets for these shows will go on sale on August 16th at 5 pm BST here, with prices ranging between $20 and $90.

Here are the cards for the 3 first episodes of AEW on TNT:

Wednesday, October 2 – Premiere Episode – Capital One Arena, Washington, DC

  • Jon Moxley appears live
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara
  • The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners

The next AEW PPV is All Out. It will take place at the Sears Center in Chicago on August 31st at 8 PM (1 AM BST the next day). It will be available in the US and Canada through B/R Live streaming service and Fite TV for the rest of the world. The All Out card, as of today, is available here.
