Eleven days before All Out, ITV Wrestling is offering a new spotlight on 2 AEW competitors, courtesy of Road to All Out episodes. Teal Piper, the daughter of the legendary Rowdy Roddy Piper, will make her professional wrestling debut at All Out on 31st August. She will take part in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale during the free “Buy In” show. Also, Brandi Rhodes, CBO of All Elite Wrestling, explains the rules for the match where the winner will earn a shot at the new AEW Women’s Championship.

Brandi Rhodes explains the rules are the same for Women Casino Battle Royale than for Men. “Each wrestler has selected a card from a special deck. The suit of card they selected determines their group. Every three minutes, we shuffle the deck to see which suit comes up. After all the suits have been exhausted, the wrestler who drew the Joker card will be the last to enter. Eliminations occur when a wrestler has done over the top rope and both feet have hit the floor so the stakes are high.”

About who’s going to be competing for the first shot at the Women’s World Championship, Brandi talks about Nyla Rose, Dr. Britt Baker, Yuka Sakazaki, Allie, and herself. The Casino Battle Royale
is a 21-participant match and, as she stated, “there are not 21 women signed to the AEW Women’s roster, so could it be a complete unknown or could it be someone who’s one of your favourites that you just don’t expect to see or could it be her?”

Her name is Teal Piper and she is the daughter of the late Rowdy Roddy Piper. “Growing up with wrestling in my family was kind of a strange dynamic because I grew up with a Dad that people hated and literally tried to kill on multiple occasions. He kept us very protected and away from it, he was afraid that fans would lash out at us to get to him.”

She explains her Dad was terrified to see her getting involved in wrestling. “My love for it really grew more in my adult years as I got more respect for performers in general and let alone the athleticism it takes. To me, it just felt wasteful to take everything I grew up with and everything he taught me and all my own personal drives and experiences and not do what I wanted to do.”

She says she’s inspired by the women of AEW and the women in professional wrestling over the years, where it’s at now is very exciting. “A big reason as to why I finally made the leap into the industry, it’s also a way for me to reconnect with him and a way to get closer to him and, I guess, keep him around.”

A few days after her participation to AEW’s Casino Battle Royale was announced, Women Of Wrestling announced Teal, 34, signed with the company and will debut for WOW on September 18 and 19 Tapings in Los Angeles. The second season of WOW premieres on September 7 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT on AXS TV. “Wrestling has always been a part of me, and while no one can ever replace my dad, I hope to make sure no one ever forgets him,” said Piper in a release from AXS TV.
