For weeks and weeks now, we’ve been telling you about OWE UK’s inaugural Tag Team tournament. Every competitor announcement showed this event will be one of the most exciting things to happen in wrestling in the UK this year. OWE United Kingdom wrestling promotion will be mixing styles of the Orient, thanks to OWE China talents, with those from the UK, Europe and the US.

With the announcement of Grup Anarsi vs the second team of StrongHearts, T-Hawk & Irie, we can now unveil the first-round bracket of the tournament that will take place in London during the first two shows on September 18 and 19. The following rounds, quarter, semi and finals, will take place in Liverpool from September 20 to 22, to determine who will be crowned OWE UK Tag Team Champions.

Grup Anarsi are a striking force in German Wrestling Federation. Abdul Kenan is 23, has been wrestling for 2 years, mostly for GWF, teaming up with Aytac Bahar. The founding member of Grup Anarşi trained MMA and his hard punches and kicks helped him and his tag team partner Aytac Bahar to some victories. Bahar is 21, also in the business for 2 years. Like Kenan, he was trained by GWF Training School and Orlando Silver. The team have worked for EWP, Yiwara, IPW and GWF in Germany. They recently made their debut in Austria.

T-Hawk, the current Australasian Champion and Wrestle-1 Champion, is a powerhouse. T-Hawk is one of the “original” StrongHearts, the stable Cima formed in 2018 when he departed Dragon Gate to create OWE in China. Like Cima, T-Hawk’s career had been related to Dragon Gate since his debut. The StrongHearts have wrestled ever since on DDT Pro Wrestling and Wrestle-1 in Japan, and AEW in the USA, where he teamed up with Cima and Lindaman at Double or Nothing

Shigehiro Irie personifies his nickname, Beast Mode. The man is a tank that utilises an impressive amount of strikes and power moves to level his opponents. Seeing him run into opponents is often like seeing them get hit by a truck. He has power and speed and he is not afraid to use them. He is also adept in technical wrestling as he has competed in MMA fights and even fought for Pancrase before becoming a wrestler full time. He is compelling as both a dominant and underdog fighter with an exceptional amount of charisma. He is now a part of OWE’s top faction, meaning any opponent now not only has to fear his personal strength and presence but also the company he keeps now.

Here is the list of the 16 teams that will participate in the event.

The bracket of the first-round is as followed:

September 18

  • Super Sharp Bros vs International Superstars
  • Gym Nasty Boys vs Anti Fun Police
  • Arrows of Hungary vs Luchasaurus & Marko Stunt
  • StrongHearts (Cima & Lindaman) vs OWE China’s T-Cool & Monkey King

September 19
