This past weekend, the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm made a shocking return to the National Wrestling Alliance to answer the challenge of NWA Champion Nick Aldis. Tim Storm Vs. Nick Aldis for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship is signed for the September 30 almost sold-out TV tapings in Atlanta, GA.

It was in October of 2017, when The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion at the time, Tim Storm was introduced to the world through the digital series Ten Pounds of Gold. The fifty-year-old school teacher caught the wrestlings world attention by his authentic every-man working-class story. The rivalry with Nick Aldis carried the first chapter of the new era of the National Wrestling Alliance including a high profile match at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood and the rematch in December of 2017 at Combat Zone Wrestling where Nick Aldis defeated Tim Storm for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.

Nick Aldis would go on to blaze his own trail carrying the Ten Pounds of Gold including high profile defences in China against Colt Cabana, in Chicago against Cody Rhodes and in Charlotte against Marty Scurll. These classic NWA Worlds Championship matches all caught the attention of Tim Storm who was given an offer by Aldis to one more championship match with a condition. On ‘NWA Ten Pounds of Gold 57’, the story comes full circle as Nick Aldis travels to Phoenix, AZ to defend the NWA Championship against Producer Peter Avalon.
