Like I told you last week, we know before we even start to watch the show who is the winner of the main event of the week. Of course, we didn’t know how it happened, we didn’t know about possible interferences, which makes this match interesting anyway. I haven’t found any trick in my bags to create more buzz. I think week after week, we’ll let the buzz make its work. I don’t want to change this review formula because Impact Wrestling went faster than us. Let’s move forward but the Nygma way, which means my way…
On the menu of Impact this week, from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Jordynne Grace will face John E. Bravo and Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie in a handicap match. The Rascalz, The Deaners, Desi Hit Squad and Reno Scum will square off in a 4-Way Tag match. And of course, Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, Rich Swann, Moose, Daga and Brian Cage will compete in a Gauntlet Match for the Impact World Championship #1 contendership. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Nygma way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

  • The Rascalz (Dez & Wentz w/ Trey) defeated The Deaners (Cody & Cousin Jake), Reno Scum (Luster The Legend & Adam Thornstowe) and Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju & Bhupinder Singh w/ Gama Singh). After the match, Ace Austin joined Reno Scum in taking out The Rascalz in front of Trey’s mom.
  • Jordynne Grace defeated Taya Valkyrie & John E. Bravo. Taya bailed and let Bravo eat the Vader Bomb.

  • Gama Singh told the Desi Hit Squad they need to start winning or else. After he walked off, they took their frustrations out on Fallah Bahh. They repeatedly told him they are not losers while attacking him.
  • RVD from his pool said he won’t be here tonight. He and Katie Forbes had been partying and he needed his 10-12 hours of sleep.

  • Father James Mitchell encountered Suzie and introduced himself. He asked what a nice girl like her is doing in a place like this. She didn’t know, but everyone’s been really nice. He advised her to find some protection and offered to take her under his wing. After offering a ride, she quickly decided to go with him. Suzie walked away and Rosemary stepped in. She said she knows he’s trying to suppress the undead bride, and “He” wouldn’t like that as Rosemary wanted to see her potential realized. She will see that it comes to pass.
  • In The Rascalz tree house, Trey didn’t expect the expected or the unexpected. They were trying to figure out what’s up with Reno Scum getting in their business. After psyching up to take them out, Trey’s mom walked in and got Dez and Wentz bothered with her entrance. She was worried about them though, as those big guys beat them up earlier. She told Dez and Wentz to call their mothers to let them know they’re okay.

  • Johnny Swinger defeated Buck Gunderson. Immediately after, Ken Shamrock stormed to the ring and got in Swinger’s face. Johnny tried to kick him but Shamrock destroyed him with the ankle lock. Johnny Swinger limped backstage. Joey Ryan gave him a tip… don’t let Shamrock touch your dick.
  • Tessa Blanchard became the new #1 contender for the Impact World Championship when she pinned Cage. Moose defeated Daga, Rich Swann defeated Moose, Rich Swann defeated Michael Elgin, Brian Cage defeated Rich Swann and, finally, Tessa Blanchard defeated Brian Cage. Brian Cage showed his respect by holding up Tessa’s arm afterwards and hugging her. She couldn’t believe it, but it’s going to happen: Blanchard vs. Callihan for the Impact World Championship – January 12, 2020 – Hard To Kill.

The not-Nygma’s Moment(s) of the Week

RVD needs 10 to 12 hours of sleep a night… I usually sleep 12 hours a week…

The Lollipop and Baby-Oil Nygmalicious Moment of The Week

Don’t touch this…

The Nygma’s Award of the Week

– Jordynne Grace
She could be a good football player because the way she slammed Mr. Mundo out of the ring was one hell of a goal. On a more serious note, Jordynne Grace has definitely become the legit contender for the Knockouts Championship. Now it’s time to make the match official…

– Rich Swann
The performance of Rich Swann was outstanding and his portion against Moose, Elgin, and then Cage ruled. He lasted 40 minutes in this gruelling match. When I had the chance to talk to Richard, I remember telling him the best decision he has ever taken was not to retire as he announced after he left another company. You understand why?

 [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwllNNIMEv0]

– Brian Cage
He didn’t win the match but he earned the respect of any wrestling fan. He wrestled a man and a woman the exact same way. He treated them with the professionalism and respect they deserved. And, in the end, he was the one who raised the arm of the winner. Brian Cage, without a shadow of a doubt, will be World Champion again…

– Tessa Blanchard
It was not a surprise to see her win as, of course, the match at Hard to Kill was announced 2 weeks ago. Can a 24-year-old young lady become the Impact World Champion, a title that has always been held by men? That’s a huge question and probably the biggest gamble in Impact Wrestling history. It is possible, undeniably… And it would change this business forever…

To be eNYGMAtic…

A PPV-calibre match on national television, a 55-minute bout that was mind-blowing. Yes, this episode was great. Jordynne Grace is definitely on the road to the Knockouts Championship. We still have a lot to learn about Suzie and how Rosemary and Father James Mitchell will fight for her. The Rascalz remain some solid contenders for the Tag Team titles. Johnny Swinger got his ass whooped. The storylines keep taking shape, the recipe of action, promos and the cinematic orchestra once again worked fine.
The Road to Hard to Kill is made of 7 more weeks, well 4, in fact. Next week, we will come back to 1983, a time when Don Callis had long hair and Ace Austin wasn’t even born, for a special episode of Impact Provincial Wrestling Federation. Also, Christmas and New Year Eve episodes should be Best-Of ones. So Hard To Kill is right around the corner…
On this “Nygma Will Be 3 Again Next Week” note, until next week, never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
