Impact Wrestling announced today that they will bring back the name for a special event as they host a TNA-themed show for WrestleCon 2020, which takes place during WWE’s WrestleMania 36 Week in the Tampa, Florida area. The Impact TNA event will take place on Friday, April 3 in Ybor City, Florida at The Ritz. It will air live on Fite TV at 7 pm ET.
“There’s no place like home. TNA officially returns for one night only on Friday, April 3rd at 7 pm. Tickets go on sale on Monday at 12 pm EST (5 PM GMT) at https://www.wrestlecon.com!,” Impact tweeted. “There’s No Place Like Home” is a reference to TNA being based in the Orlando, FL area years ago.
Current Impact World Tag Team Champion Ethan Page revealed the plans last October 2019. In a tweet, Page talked about how excited he was about the TNA name being brought back and suggested for him to be booked in the King of the Mountain match.
MLW today announced a National Openweight Title Match: Alex Hammerstone (champion) vs. T-Hawk for MLW: FIGHTLAND at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, February 1. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS. In a historic eighth title defence, National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone vows to show he is the “golden gaijin” as he unleashes an “international showcase” on his challenger, Japan’s T-Hawk. But will the ace of OWE overwhelm the champ with speed, finesse and fury in Philly?
A world-class wrestler, T-Hawk, is nicknamed “Power Master” for a reason – his strength and arsenal of innovative power moves are second to none. But don’t be fooled as T-Hawk dizzies adversaries with rapid-fire snap submission moves that could quickly turn into an aerial attack moments later. With successful stints in Mexico, Japan and China, T-Hawk now looks to secure his first major championship in North America.
A decorated Japanese competitor, T-Hawk has won numerous titles in Dragon Gate as well as the Wrestle-1 Championship. Employing moves such as Night Ride and Veracruz, T-Hawk may just well be the x-factor in the #STRONGHEARTS team. With Japan’s top-ranked T-Hawk making a historic bid for the title, the Dynasty’s Hammerstone will be tested both in technique, skill and speed.
Matches signed thus far for FIGHTLAND:
- WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: Jacob Fatu (c) vs. CIMA
- “Filthy” Tom Lawlor vs. Killer Kross
- NATIONAL OPENWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: Alex Hammerstone (c) vs. T-Hawk
- Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Erick Stevens
- Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Jimmy Havoc (with Priscilla Kelly)

If Nick Aldis will face Flip Gordon, and not Marty Scurll as expected, at NWA Hard Times PPV on January 24 for the Ten Pounds of Gold, Scurll will take part of the second day of NWA tapings on January 26.
Since Marty Scurrl’s appearance at NWA Into The Fire, the wrestling world has been buzzing about where he could show up next. Now, with Nick Aldis showing up at Ring of Honor Wrestling last weekend, it seems this rivalry is taking place across both promotions.
