MLW announced that AAA Lucha Libre will be sending some of their world-class Luchadores to MLW: FIGHTLAND at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, February 1. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.
AAA Lucha Libre is Mexico’s top promotion. Known for its iconic Luchadores, exhilarating events and rich history as Mexico’s most popular organization, AAA and MLW began collaborating in November 2019.
AAA Co-Founder Konnan is working with the league on the particulars, but names and matches are expected to be revealed shortly. It was revealed the day after Konnan will be in the house with a lot of business to handle.
Konnan made his wrestling debut in the historic 2300 Arena – then the ECW Arena – in November 1995. Now, he returns 25 years later after igniting a Lucha revolution through America. The guiding light of Luchadores has a lot on his mind, including payback on The Dynasty for their vicious assault in New York City.
The Destroyer, @laparktapia, makes his return when MLW heads back to the @2300Arena on February 1st!

Free Agent
— Alpha Female (@Jazzy_Gabert) January 18, 2020
NXT UK talent Jazzy Gabert is now a free agent. She is said to have chosen not to renew her contract with WWE as he expired this month. Gabert was in York tapings this weekend but didn’t wrestle. As she said on Twitter, she had a car accident last Sunday and wasn’t medically cleared for the York tapings. The match against Killer Kelly that was announced on social media was not taped.
Gabert had caused excitement in July 2017 when she delivered outstanding matches in the WWE Mae Young Classic tournament. However, it took some time until they were signed, because the contract offer was withdrawn by the show fight market leader due to a serious neck injury. When the injury had healed, a contract still came about. Gabert’s status changed again in 2019. In January, she sat in the first row of spectators at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool – a sign of what was confirmed at the end of February, Gabert signed with WWE.
Gabert then posted a longer message on Instagram: “I will press the reset button and be offline for a while. I need a change and I will change. Body, mind and soul need a break. Ten days of fasting, including a break from social media is the first step. The second is changing my look, which I’m really looking forward to. And I’m going to change my job … one has come to an end and one is rising like a phoenix. Wait it out, thank you for participating in my trip.” Since 2001, she has been active in the wrestling industry in Europe, North America and Japan and also tried to be an MMA fighter.
